Jewellery Care Guide
How to keep your treasures sparkly?
If you keep your jewellery in good condition it means years of wear and less time maintaining it’s shine. Sounds simple? Well it is!
A bit about the metal...
My pieces of jewellery are made from Sterling Silver and can be plated with a thick layer of 24ct gold plate. Metal will react to many things including sunlight, water and cosmetics. As many of you know sterling silver gets darker in colour over time, this is called oxidisation. This happens to most metals, it a natural reaction and can be helped with many easy steps:
MY JEWELLERY-CARE TOP TIPS
1. Your jewellery does not like water! Remove when in the bath or shower, swimming pool, sea, hot tub, etc.
2. Store in a dry, clean environment away from direct sun light.
3. Put your jewellery on last-thing when getting ready. Perfume, cosmetics and hair spray all tarnish our jewellery.
4. A cleaning cloth such as Town Talk's is the absolute best way of keeping your pieces clean and at their sparkly best.
